I've been thinking a lot about the community impact of Dominique Grandberry's tragic passing. It's truly devastating how one senseless act can ripple through so many lives. The fact that this happened over something as trivial as an iPhone transaction is just mind-boggling. I can't help but feel for Dominique's family, especially his kids who have to grow up without their dad because of this. It makes me appreciate how fragile and precious life really is. I wonder if there might be something we can do as a community to raise awareness about the risks of meeting strangers for sales, even in public places like a McDonald's parking lot. It could be as simple as starting a local conversation or campaign to promote safe transaction practices. Even though it won't bring Dominique back, it just might prevent another family from experiencing such a profound loss. It's really incredible how quickly law enforcement acted, but prevention would be an even better outcome. Would love to hear if anyone else has thoughts or ideas on this.
