Has anyone looked into the mental health support (or lack thereof) at Central Michigan University during the time of this tragedy? I can't stop thinking about the reports of James Eric Davis Jr.'s erratic behavior just before the incident. It seems like such a missed opportunity for intervention. I understand that hindsight is 20/20, but it's frustrating to think what might have been if someone had recognized the gravity of his situation and responded accordingly.
The loss of Diva and James Sr. is devastating, and my heart goes out to their loved ones. I genuinely hope that this case encourages universities to revisit their mental health services and protocols. It's crucial that we learn from this and work to prevent similar tragedies in the future. Have there been any changes or discussions on that front since then?
Did anyone else find it particularly haunting how Davis Jr. allegedly believed someone was out to get him the night before the tragedy? It's incredibly concerning that people around him reported his behavior but we still ended up here. I wonder if more could have been done to assess his mental state or protect Diva and James Sr. Mental health issues are so often brushed under the rug until it's too late. My heart goes out to all who knew them; they seemed like such caring and involved people. I hope this case can lead to an increased focus on mental health resources, especially for young adults who might be struggling. ?
