I've been following Mariah Sinclair's case and can't stop thinking about how her friends tried to help her. It must be incredibly difficult for them, knowing the efforts they made weren't enough to prevent this tragedy. I'm particularly struck by the bravery of Deborah Hansen, who witnessed the incident. Being there through all that must've been a harrowing experience, yet she tried to help Mariah when she needed it most. It's a sober reminder of the need for stronger, more accessible support systems for people in abusive situations. Does anyone know if there have been any local initiatives or changes in policy in response to this case? It's so important we learn from tragedies like this to protect others in the future.
