Has anyone else been following the Thompson case and the impact it's had on witness protection laws? I'm really struck by how crucial it is to have stronger measures in place to protect witnesses. Starkisha Thompson showed incredible bravery by testifying, and the tragedy that followed highlights such a glaring issue in the system. I read that both the Wayne County Prosecutor and the Michigan Attorney General are pushing for legislative changes. Do you think this case will finally get the ball rolling on getting something done? It’s so worrying to think that someone could be endangered for simply doing what’s right. Let's hope Starkisha's legacy contributes to change that could prevent another senseless loss. Thoughts?
