Has anyone else looked into Alton Lyons' background? From what I've read, he had a history of run-ins with the law, but I'm wondering if there were any signs leading up to this tragedy that might have been warning flags. It's troubling to think about what might have been happening behind closed doors. I can't imagine what the Hough family is going through right now, especially Melissa, who not only survived but has to cope with the loss of her husband. I hope she has a lot of support around her. Has anyone heard if any mental health evaluations were done on Alton prior to this incident? It just seems like such a tragic situation that might have been preventable.

I’ve been following the Ardel Hough case closely, and something that sticks out to me is the bravery of Melissa Hough. It’s unimaginable to think what she went through, but her quick thinking in such a terrifying situation likely saved her life. Pretending to be dead after being shot… that’s an instinct I can hardly wrap my head around. It’s just so awful to consider the trauma she must be experiencing on top of losing her husband in such a violent way. I really hope she has a strong support system in place and that she's getting all the help she needs to heal both physically and emotionally. Her strength during this unthinkable situation is truly incredible. Anyone know if there have been updates on her recovery or if there are any local support initiatives for victims of familial violence in Detroit?
