Did anyone else hear about the details surrounding the sentencing? I've been following Alunte Davis' case closely, and it was both relieving and emotional to see Devon Robinson receive three life sentences without parole for the brutal crime. I can't imagine what Alunte’s family and friends must be going through, but I hope this verdict brings them some level of comfort and justice. It’s infuriating that LGBTQ individuals still face such senseless violence. Big shoutout to the Fair Michigan Justice Project and Prosecutor Kym Worthy for their relentless efforts in fighting hate crimes. These cases remind us all of the importance of standing up against intolerance and supporting one another in our communities. ? Stay strong, Detroit.

Has anyone else been following the sentencing details from the tragic case involving Alunte Davis, Timothy Blancher, and Paris Cameron? I'm grateful that justice was served for them, but the fact that we even need groups like the Fair Michigan Justice Project is a grim reminder of how much more work is needed to protect the LGBTQ community. The sentencing of Devon Robinson to three life terms certainly sends a strong message, but it’s just heartbreaking that this kind of senseless violence still occurs. My thoughts are with the friends and families of the victims—I hope they find some comfort in knowing that Robinson will never be able to hurt anyone else. Does anyone know of any community efforts in Detroit focused on healing and prevention going forward?

Hey everyone, I've been following the Detroit case involving the tragic loss of Alunte Davis, Timothy Blancher, and Paris Cameron. Something that's really been on my mind is the immense strength it must take for the families and friends of the victims to navigate through such a harrowing experience. I can't imagine the pain of losing a loved one to such a senseless act of violence. What truly baffles me is the depth of hatred that Devon Robinson harbored to commit such a horrific crime. It's just so hard to fathom. How does one even begin to heal from something like this? I think it's crucial for us, as a society, to support and uplift LGBTQ communities, especially in the wake of such tragedies. Everything happening around this case just serves as yet another stark reminder of the work that still needs to be done to fight hate and ensure safety for everyone, regardless of their identity. Sending all my love and strength to those affected. ?
