I recently came across the case of Lysa Blake, and I can’t stop thinking about the impact this tragedy must have had on her family and friends. She was so young, just 18, with her whole life ahead of her, and it's incredibly painful thinking about what her family must be going through. Lysa had recently graduated and was preparing for college—such an exciting time in a person’s life, full of potential and dreams. The loss of Lysa and Dania Phillips due to such a senseless act of violence is truly incomprehensible. Sending strength and love to their families as they cope with this unimaginable pain and work through their grief. I hope their community continues to rally around them during this difficult time.
I've been thinking a lot about the community impact of Lysa and Dania's tragedy. It's just so upsetting to see how an argument over something as trivial as an inhaler could end in such a horrific loss. It makes you wonder about the deeper issues at play here.
