I was just reflecting on the impact Darryl's loss had on the local community events. Kearsley Park was such a vibrant spot for get-togethers and celebrations—not just for the Van Stade family, but for anyone in Flint looking to enjoy a safe, communal space. I can't imagine the emotional weight his family must feel every time they pass by it now. Darryl's tragic passing put a pause on those joyous gatherings and has forced everyone to rethink the places they once considered safe. It's deeply unsettling how one act of senseless violence can alter the fabric of a community. My heart goes out to Darryl’s family and friends who have been tirelessly advocating for him, even amidst their grief. They deserve answers, and I genuinely hope continued public cooperation will lead to the breakthrough needed to bring peace to those who knew and loved him.
