I have to say, I feel deeply for Rachel Curl's family and everyone who knew her. Their journey for justice has been nothing short of grueling, especially considering the verdict. Losing someone so young and full of life is tremendously painful. Something I've been thinking about is the role of character witnesses in trials like these. I wonder how much weight they actually carry when a jury is trying to decide on such serious charges. Did anyone follow the trial closely enough to know if they had any impactful character witnesses on either side? From what I've gathered, Rachel was such a beloved person in her community—I'm curious if her character was brought up in court to shed light on the kind of person she was. It must be incredibly tough for her family to relive those memories, but it would be interesting to hear more about how they managed those moments in the trial.
