I’ve been following the details of Jacari Roberts' case, and one aspect that’s been on my mind is the response of the Flint Township community to this tragedy. It’s been truly eye-opening to see how neighbors, local activists, and community leaders have come together in the wake of such a devastating loss. There were vigils, fundraisers, and even a community forum to discuss ways to combat violence in their neighborhood. It's comforting to see people uniting to support Jacari's family and friends during such an unimaginably difficult time. It makes me hopeful that perhaps through this collective grief, meaningful change can begin to prevent more senseless violence. Sending strength and love to everyone who knew and loved Jacari.
