I was just thinking about the incredible strength it must take for Candace Lindsey to cope with this unimaginable tragedy. Losing Benson, her only son, in such a brutal way is something no parent should ever have to endure. I can’t help but feel devastated thinking about how she has to navigate life without him, especially with his children so young and his daughter still in the hospital. It's moments like these that really underscore how gun violence shatters families, not just individuals. I sincerely hope the community continues to rally around her and provides the support needed to help her through this incredibly difficult time. My heart goes out to everyone affected and I applaud the police for taking swift action. But really, we, as a society, need to push for more meaningful changes to prevent these tragedies from happening in the first place. What are everyone else's thoughts on what can be done to better support the families left behind by such violence?
