Hey everyone, I've been following the case of the missing vessels 'Shenandoah' and 'Mary J.' and got curious about the life raft they found. Does anyone have any idea how long a life raft like that could remain afloat, especially in the rough waters around Rocky Bay? I'm just wondering about the survival chances if Mark or anyone else made it to the raft. The fact that the 'Mary J' ended up aground in Windy Bay is so puzzling to me. It almost feels like something must have gone really wrong, but I can't figure out what. Would love to hear everyone's thoughts or if anyone has similar maritime experience!
Hey everyone,
I've been following the case of Mark who went missing from the 'Shenandoah', and something's really bothering me about the whole situation. Has anyone looked into the weather conditions at the time they went missing? I've heard that weather in those Alaskan waters can get pretty unpredictable and rough. It makes me wonder if the weather played a significant role in this incident.
Additionally, I'm curious if any local fishermen or people familiar with that route between Homer and Seward have insights about common issues or dangers in that area, especially around Rocky Bay and Windy Bay where the Coast Guard found the life raft and the 'Mary J'. I feel like understanding these factors could provide some clues or at least help us piece together what might have happened.
Let's keep this thread active; Mark's family and the community are relying on everyone paying attention. Any thoughts or insights would be hugely valuable.
Stay safe, everyone.
