Hey everyone, I’ve been following the case of Andrea Tucker and am just devastated by how the system failed her. Something I haven't been able to shake is the role of systemic failures in her case. It's just infuriating to think that Andrea had reached out for help about Hammond violating his bond conditions, yet her plea seemed to go ignored. How does this happen? Why wasn’t more done when she reported that he was stalking her? I honestly can't imagine the pain her family must be feeling, knowing there were so many opportunities for intervention, yet the system didn’t step up. It’s terrifying to think this could happen to anyone who’s reached out for help. There’s got to be a way to hold the system accountable and make it genuinely responsive to victims' needs. Has anyone else seen any updates or reforms pushed because of this case? Policy changes or community efforts? Just hoping something positive could come out of such a tragic situation. My heart really goes out to Andrea’s family, especially her kids—it's a lot for anyone, let alone children, to endure.
