Volker Puschkeit, a 26-year-old man from Germany, was last seen on October 30, 1994, in Lee Vining, California. He was traveling with his companion, Herbert Frank, 52, on a vacation in the United States. The pair had won a large sum of money, approximately $10,000, at a casino in Reno, Nevada. After this, they were last sighted at a hotel in Lee Vining. Witnesses overheard them discussing their winnings, which might have contributed to their mysterious disappearance.
