I’ve been thinking a lot about Antonio's little girl, Kiyomi. Losing a father at such a tender age is just unimaginable. Antonio, from what I’ve gathered, seemed like the type of man who would have been a wonderful father, one who’d teach her things like kindness and resilience. It’s so painful to know that Kiyomi will grow up without him, but I hope she feels the love and support from her extended family and community. They loved him so much, and I hope they share stories with her about his vibrant spirit. I wonder if there are any community support efforts underway to help her and Antonio’s family during this tough time. Gun violence changes so many lives, and it's crucial that we support those who are left trying to piece their lives back together. My heart truly goes out to them.
