I can’t even imagine the pain this family is going through after what happened to Sonya on Thanksgiving night. It’s just so hard to wrap my head around how something like this could occur. What stands out to me is the location where this tragedy unfolded. I know Woodward Avenue can be really busy even late at night, and near that I-696 overpass, I can't help but think about the sheer terror of other drivers witnessing such a horror. It’s a miracle more people weren't seriously hurt, though I'm sure those who were involved or nearby will carry the emotional scars forever. The randomness and suddenness of the shooting make it all the more baffling. It’s crucial for us to support the community in whatever way we can, helping them heal from such a shocking and violent event. Sending so much love and strength to Sonya’s loved ones and everyone affected.
