I've been following the case of Jamarion McCuller, and one thing that really stands out to me is the role social media played in how quickly events escalated. The fact that Justin House could use GPS technology and potentially other online tools to find the stolen car shows how crime and justice have entered a whole new era. But just because we can use technology to solve our own problems doesn't mean we should, especially when it leads to tragic outcomes like this. It's difficult to imagine what Jamarion's family must be going through, knowing that this might've been avoided if proper procedures were followed. Why did House feel so compelled to take matters into his own hands instead of calling the police? The immediacy with which everyone can access information in this digital age is both a blessing and a curse. It makes me wonder how often similar situations happen where people try to play detective and end up making things worse. My heart goes out to Jamarion’s family—nobody should have to endure such loss.
