It's baffling to think that an argument over something as simple as elevator etiquette could lead to such senseless violence. Ariel Harris had his whole life ahead of him, and it breaks my heart to think about his two young sons growing up without their dad. I read that he was a dedicated barber and seemed to have such a positive impact on those around him. I can't imagine how his brother and the mother of his children are coping after witnessing such an awful event.
I saw the police released footage of the man responsible, Gayelon Spencer. It's so important that anyone with information comes forward to help get justice for Ariel and his family. This tragedy should never have happened, and it’s a chilling reminder of how precious life is. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
