Has anyone else been looking into the tides and weather conditions in the area where Greg went missing? Given that the 'Katrina' reported mechanical difficulties and was going aground, I'm curious if rough seas or unusual tide activity could have played a part in the situation. It might help explain why there's been no trace of him despite the debris being found. If anyone has more info about the conditions that day, it might shed some light on what could have happened. Just trying to piece together anything that could make sense of this.
Hey everyone, I came across some info about Greg and the 'Katrina' that got me thinking. Apparently, before things went downhill, he radioed in about having mechanical issues. I’m curious—does anyone here know what kind of mechanical problems are common in that type of vessel? Could it have been something that would force him to go aground so suddenly? It seems weird that he would need to abandon ship unless it was something really serious. Would love to hear if anyone has insights on this.
I’ve been following the Greg situation closely, and something that’s been puzzling me is the weather conditions during the day he went missing. I wonder if the coast guard or any local reports have mentioned what the weather was like around Heceta Island at that time. If it was rough, it could explain the mechanical issues with the 'Katrina.' Furthermore, rough waters could cause a ship to go aground easier and make any search efforts more challenging. Anyone have more insight or local knowledge on the weather patterns in that region?
