I've been following John Cade's case closely, and what really stands out to me is the eerie timing and method of the home invasion. It mirrors so many of Sells’ other attacks: sudden, violent, and with no clear motive. It makes me wonder if Cade was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, or if there was more to the story. It's unsettling to think about how a drifter like Sells could terrorize communities for so long without being caught. Even though Sells is no longer a threat, it must be incredibly difficult for Cade’s family to still have this lingering uncertainty about who was truly responsible for his death. It's as if something was stolen from them beyond John himself—a sense of closure, perhaps. I really feel for all the families who find themselves in such an agonizing state of limbo, where answers seem just out of reach. Cade's case is a haunting reminder of the lives touched by these horrific acts and the need to keep pressing for truth and justice for victims everywhere.
