Has anyone else been thinking about how workplace training might have played a part in the events leading up to that tragic day at the Lockheed Martin plant? I mean, Douglas Williams attended an ethics and diversity class right before he carried out the attack. It's deeply concerning to think that even with such awareness programs in place, the warning signs were missed or not acted upon. I'm not blaming the training itself, but it makes me wonder about the effectiveness of these programs and the protocols in place for handling individuals who consistently show aggressive or threatening behavior.
It's heartbreaking to imagine how scared Lynette McCall and the other victims must have been. I'm grateful for people like Mickey Fitzgerald and Shirley Price who attempted to intervene, even though it must have been terrifying. My heart goes out to the families who had their loved ones taken from them. I wish more could have been done to prevent such a tragedy. What are your thoughts on how similar situations can be prevented in the future?
