I’ve been diving deep into Richard Shiroma’s case today. I'm curious if anyone else finds the details around the marlin intriguing. I mean, we know he was skilled with the sea and clearly capable if he snagged such a large catch. Why risk towing it back alone? Possible he met someone out there who could’ve helped him? Engine running and the marlin tied up makes it seem like he was interrupted before reaching his destination. Thoughts on what might’ve happened in those crucial moments? It's just bizarre.
Has anyone else looked into the weather conditions on the day Richard Shiroma went missing? I've been digging around, and it seems like the sea was calm that day, which makes the whole situation even stranger. If the weather wasn't an issue, it really makes you wonder what could have happened out there. Also, with the engine still running when the boat was found, it raises more questions than answers. Could he have fallen overboard somehow? Hope someone else has some insights or theories. It's been so long, and this hasn't gotten any easier for those who knew him.
I recently stumbled across the case of Richard Yoshio Shiroma and noticed something odd about the location where his boat was found. Turtle Bay Resort is pretty far from Kaneohe if you think about it. It's not like he was just a bit off course—it's miles away! Given his experience, it seems strange his boat ended up there, especially with the engine still running. I'm no expert, but could ocean currents really have carried the boat that far off track? Or maybe there was another factor at play? Curious if anyone with more maritime knowledge has thoughts on this.
