Has anyone looked into the activities in the neighborhood around the time of the shootings? I can't help but wonder if there were other incidents or unusual happenings that might have gone unnoticed. Sometimes seemingly unrelated events can provide crucial clues. It's frustrating and sad to think that Bennie and Justin's families have been waiting so long without answers. I really hope that someone in the community knows something, even if it's a small detail, and comes forward. It's clear that finding justice for Bennie and Justin is important not just for their loved ones, but for the whole of Laurel. If anyone has more information or insights, please share—they deserve closure.
I was reading about the tragic case of Bennie Owens and Justin Curry, and something that just doesn't sit right with me is the fact that Bennie's family is still waiting for any kind of justice or even a semblance of closure. It must be incredibly difficult for them, not having any answers or knowing why their loved one was taken from them so senselessly.
I wonder if the community has rallied around the families or if there have been any local efforts to keep the case in the public eye? Sometimes, a little public pressure and community support can make a difference in investigations like this. It’s so important that Bennie and Justin are not forgotten, and that everyone continues to push for answers. Does anyone else here have thoughts on how families can keep a case active when it seems to have gone cold?
I’ve been thinking a lot about the location of the shooting that took the lives of Bennie Owens and Justin Curry back in 2014. It's alarming to realize that these young men were spending time with friends—something we all do without a second thought—before their lives were senselessly taken. It makes me question whether any significant safety or security measures were in place in that area, or if this was a part of town people considered “safe” at the time.
The pain and uncertainty the families and the Laurel community must be feeling is unimaginable. It's been almost a decade, and there are still no answers or justice for Bennie and Justin. The patience and strength of their loved ones during this prolonged investigation is truly something else.
For those familiar with the area, do you know if there have been improvements in local community safety since this tragic event? I hope that spreading more awareness can somehow help prompt someone with information to come forward, or perhaps inspire better preventive measures for the future. My heart goes out to everyone affected by this senseless act.
