I was reading up on the Copeland brothers' tragedy and something really stood out to me about James Copeland. The fact that he had recently reunited with a daughter he hadn't seen for so long is just such a powerful part of his story. I can't even begin to imagine the range of emotions they both must have felt finally coming together after years apart. It must have brought so much happiness and healing to both their lives. And then for this to happen... it just feels profoundly unfair. It's clear from what the neighbors have shared that James was a kind-hearted person. It's terrible to think that someone with so much love to give was taken in such a horrible way. My heart truly goes out to James' daughter, having experienced joy followed by such an immense loss. It's just a reminder of how precious and fragile our connections can be.
