Hey everyone,
I've been reading through some of the posts about Treon L. Sanders, and it’s so difficult to wrap my head around how targeted acts of violence like this are still tearing families and neighborhoods apart. It makes me think about the ripple effect these tragedies have on communities like East Garfield Park—especially around that time in 2010 when violence was escalating.
What I really find upsetting is how these cases often struggle to get the attention and resources they deserve. With so much going on and trust being such a big issue, it must feel incredibly daunting for the families left seeking justice. I can't even imagine the frustration and sorrow they're experiencing. ?
I wonder if any long-term changes have been successful in these areas since then and how communities continue to cope. Does anyone have insights or updates on the current state of East Garfield Park regarding safety and community efforts? Thanks for engaging with this.
Stay safe out there.
Has anyone else been following the Treon Sanders case from Chicago? I was looking into the situation, and it’s troubling how East Garfield Park, where Treon was killed, has been affected by violence for so long. My heart goes out to his family and friends. It’s seriously alarming to see communities like this struggle with ongoing violence despite all the efforts to bring about change.
Does anyone here know more about any community initiatives or efforts that might currently be helping the neighborhood? I can't help but think that it takes more than just police presence to address the deeper issues at play. It's important for all of us to talk about how these neighborhoods can get the support they desperately need. Let's hope this case gets the attention it deserves and serves as a reminder that there's still a lot of work to do.
