Does anyone have more info on the safety protocols on the Motor Vessel Seledang Ayu? I'm curious if Carlos or any crew member had life jackets and if there was any immediate evacuation plan in place after the engine failure? I can't find much detail about how prepared they were for emergencies. It seems like the situation could've been handle better if there were clear plans or trainings regularly. Any mariners here who can shed light on standard procedures for such scenarios?
Hey everyone, I’ve been digging into the Carlos case from the Seledang Ayu incident, and something caught my attention. The timeline of when the vessel actually experienced engine failure seems a bit murky. Has anyone else noticed there’s a gap in the reports right before they contacted anyone about the trouble? I’m wondering if there was an issue beforehand that led to the situation spiraling out of control. I know things can happen fast at sea, but this detail just keeps nagging at me. Anyone with maritime experience have any thoughts on how this might have played out? Looking forward to your insights!
Hey everyone, I’m really puzzled by the sequence of events leading up to Carlos’s disappearance. The Seledang Ayu was struggling with engine failure for a while before it ran aground. Does anyone know if there were any radio transmissions from Carlos or the crew in the hours leading up to that? I wonder if there was any indication that Carlos or others were trying to get a message out before things took a turn for the worse. Maybe something in those communications, if they exist, could give us more insight into what might have happened. What do you all think?
