Just thinking about how the tragedy in Foxworth unfolded and what the community must be going through. I can't shake the feeling of how overwhelming it must be for Diane's family, especially with how unexpected and senseless this all seems. It’s so tough to wrap my head around how someone like Danny Paul Smith could have carried out such a horrific act. I wonder if there were any warning signs or if he had any history of violence that might have hinted at this. Also, it's haunting to think about Diane being found right there in the front yard, a place that's supposed to be safe. My heart goes out to everyone grieving this tremendous loss. It must be unimaginably difficult to try to understand and come to terms with it all.

I can’t stop thinking about what happened in the New Hope community back in April 2015. The loss of Diane "Coonie" Pierce-Smith and Mark Hatfield was such a blow to everyone who knew them. While digging through some local news archives, I came across accounts from neighbors who mentioned Diane’s vibrant spirit and how she often brought joy to everyone around her.
