I've been thinking a lot about the timeline and Shannon Lamb's actions leading up to the murders. It’s chilling that he drove all the way from Gautier to Cleveland after killing Amy Prentiss. It really seems like there must have been some intense emotional and psychological turmoil happening for him to commit such calculated acts. One thing that really puzzles me is his decision to call the police himself after shooting Amy. It's not common for perpetrators to report their own crimes like that. Was it a moment of regret? A cry for help? We may never know the motive, but it's truly devastating for all the families involved. Ethically, we must hold space for their grief, as well as a desire to prevent similar tragedies in the future. This case is just so sad on so many levels.
