I’ve been thinking a lot about Lance Mackbee and the community’s reaction to his tragic death. It must be incredibly tough for his family and friends to process everything, especially with all the public attention it received as the only homicide in Brookhaven that year. I can only imagine the shock and sorrow they’re going through. One detail sticking with me is how Lance wasn’t in the driver's seat when they found him. It raises so many questions about what happened that night. Did someone lure him out to that location, and for what reason? With Travis Brinson’s arrest, there seems to be more to the story. But without a clear motive from the police, it feels like we're missing a crucial piece of the puzzle. It’s encouraging to see the Brookhaven Police asking for public assistance—hopefully, someone who knows more will come forward. Every bit of information could be vital in finding out why this happened to Lance. My thoughts go out to his loved ones, and I hope they find the answers and justice they deserve.
