Did anyone else notice the change from second-degree murder to manslaughter in McNeer's case? I'm curious about what might have led to this plea deal. It's not uncommon for legal strategies to shift, especially when motions for new trials are involved, but it could also suggest some new information came to light. This shift must have been quite surprising and certainly very challenging for Robert Little's family to endure, given they probably hoped the initial conviction was a step towards closure. My thoughts go out to them as they continue to cope with all the legal twists on top of their loss. If anyone has more insights on why the plea deal happened, I'd love to understand it better.
