Has anyone looked into the weather conditions on the day Selin disappeared in Anchorage? I was researching and noticed that the area had a decent amount of rainfall that August. Bad weather might play a role in cases like this, potentially impacting searches and people's movement. Considering she was last seen on 08/24/2006, I wonder if the rain that month might have affected any search efforts or even visibility on the day. Does anyone here have access to old weather reports or know if weather was ever considered in her case? It's just another angle that popped into my mind. Would love to hear from locals or anyone with insights on this!

Hey everyone, just wanted to discuss something that's been on my mind about Selin's case. I remember reading that on the day she disappeared, she had mentioned to friends that she wanted to hit up a hiking trail after work. Does anyone know if the local trails were thoroughly searched back then? I've been out there a few times, and some of those places can get pretty remote and rugged. It makes me wonder if there's still something out there that could've been missed in the initial searches. Anyone with local knowledge or who remembers the area back then, what are your thoughts?

Has anyone looked into the weather conditions in Anchorage on 08/24/2006? I know it might seem trivial, but sometimes the weather can play a big role in how search efforts are conducted and if any evidence might have been washed away or concealed by the elements. During that time of year, Anchorage can have some pretty unpredictable weather, which might have affected Selin’s last movements or anything that could have been left behind. If anyone has a way to check historical weather data or knows more about how weather might have impacted the area during that time, it could be worth discussing. Just trying to cover all possible angles in Selin's case.
