I've been thinking a lot about Grant Genous Jr. in all of this. While the focus is understandably on Brandon Cooper's tragic loss, I can't help but consider how frightening it must have been for Grant during and after the robbery attempt. Being there when his friend was killed and somehow making it through that kind of trauma is unimaginable. I hope he's getting the support and resources needed to cope with it all. It's a stark reminder of how far-reaching violence is, impacting not just the victims but their friends and loved ones too. Sending all my thoughts to everyone affected by this senseless act.

Did anyone else find it disturbing how quickly the situation escalated that night? I know the focus has been on Calvin Gibson Jr. as the shooter, but I'm left wondering about the mindset of the group as a whole. What led them to think that approaching a vehicle with a loaded gun was ever a good idea? It’s just hard to fathom how a split-second decision can end a life and alter so many others forever. My heart goes out to Brandon Cooper's family; they’ve endured so much, and now they have to live with this senseless act of violence. I hope they continue to find strength and support in their community.
