Hey all, I've been following the trial of Kareem Boykins and something that stands out to me is the impact these events have had on the Jackson community. It’s clear that Craig Johnson's death wasn't just a loss to his family and friends, but a ripple that affected everyone living in the area. It's been over three years since the incident, and yet, the emotions are still so raw for everyone involved. During this time, the local media and community groups have really pulled together, raising awareness about violence in Jackson. It seems like Craig's case has become a catalyst for change or at the very least, a conversation starter about how to make our streets safer. Meeting people who are using this tragedy to advocate for positive change is a small silver lining in an otherwise dark situation, and it speaks volumes about the strength and resilience of the community. I hope justice is served in a way that brings some peace to Craig’s family and a renewed determination to those advocating for safety and change. Holding them in my thoughts. - Chris

I've been following the trial of Kareem Boykins closely, and I can't stop thinking about the families involved, especially Craig Johnson's. It’s impossible to grasp the pain they must endure as they navigate through such a devastating and emotional legal process. I can't help but wonder how Corey Johnson is coping after witnessing such a traumatic event and his own injury. It's courageous that he’s possibly had to relive that night by testifying or being involved in the proceedings. It's hard for me to wrap my head around how arguments can escalate to such tragic outcomes. I hope that through this trial, justice is served and that it encourages conversations on how to reduce violence in our community. My thoughts go out to everyone affected by this tragedy.
