Does anyone here remember seeing Mitchell riding his bike early that morning? Every time I think about how someone could just shoot such a kind, gentle soul like him, it just doesn’t make sense. He was more than just the "Guitar Man" to us. He brought joy to so many. I know there’s been a lot of frustration and anger about the unsolved cases in Natchez, but I still believe someone out there knows something. Maybe they’re scared or unsure if what they know could help, but it could be a piece of the puzzle needed to find justice for Mitchell. If you have any info, please consider reaching out to the authorities. We owe it to him and his family. ?️

I've been following the case of Mitchell Dale Brooks, and something that's been on my mind is how the delays at the state crime lab are affecting everything. They mentioned the backlog with the ballistics reports - which seems like such a vital piece of the puzzle in pinpointing who did this. It's hard to accept that technology might be advanced in so many areas, yet bureaucracy is slowing down a potentially solvable crime. I can't begin to imagine the frustration Brooks' family feels, not just losing someone like Mitchell, who clearly left an impact on his community with his music, but also having to wait endlessly for answers. It feels like the system is letting people down in a big way. I hope the community's persistent efforts and voices will urge authorities to allocate more resources to the crime lab because every year that passes is another year without justice or peace for Brooks’ loved ones.
