Hey everyone, I've been looking into the disappearance of Charles D. Wilson and something struck me—how did his boat end up 30 miles off Waianae with a broken mast? It seems odd that someone who's not really keen on sailing would end up in that kind of situation, right? It got me thinking about ocean currents and how they might've played a role here. Does anyone know if the currents around Hawaii could have taken his boat that far from the harbor inadvertently? Also, who was responsible for maintaining such critical parts of his boat? Maybe the mast was already compromised before he set sail? Just curious if any experienced sailors here could shed some light on this...

Hey everyone, I've been following the case of Charles D. Wilson, and it's intriguing how his background as a Vietnam War veteran and his lifestyle might play a role in his mysterious disappearance. Something that really stands out is his choice to live on that boat, the *H20I.Q.*, even with his health issues. Living on a sailboat, not for the love of sailing, but just as a place to call home seems unusual, especially given his reclusive nature. I'm curious if anyone here can shed more light on his life or provide insights into why he might have chosen such an isolated way of living, despite the challenges. Could his health have gotten the better of him at sea, leading to the unfortunate circumstances? Or perhaps someone else out there knows more about his personality or reasons for choosing this lifestyle? Let's keep this discussion going. Maybe someone holds a piece of the puzzle that could bring some closure to his family and those who knew him.
