Can't stop thinking about the impact of Robert Robertson's death on the community. It's so unsettling how someone who served our country and had just returned home could become a victim of such violence. I keep wondering if this tragedy is shedding light on issues we might be overlooking. Our veterans deserve more support systems when they come back. I’ve read some discussions around town about how much we need to address returning veterans' mental health and provide resources to prevent things like this from happening. It's clear that the pain felt in Sardis is deep, and while capturing the suspect is a step toward justice, I hope this also pushes us toward necessary changes to support those who've served. Every time I drive past that gas station now, I say a little prayer for Robert and hope his family finds some peace. Anyone else thinking we should be doing more as a community?
