Did anyone else find it strange that no other crew members saw John jump or why there aren’t any witness accounts? The Corona Infinity isn't a small boat, so it's hard for me to wrap my head around someone going overboard without at least one person noticing or hearing something. I’ve been reading through some old maritime incidents, and usually, there’s at least one witness or some noise that alerts others when something like this happens. It’s the Bering Sea, so I get that conditions can be rough, but what do you all think? Could it just be the chaos of working on a fishing vessel that nobody saw anything? Seems really odd to me...

Has anyone heard more details about the safety measures on board the Corona Infinity? I've been reading up on the crew's protocols for emergencies and it makes me wonder if anything might have been off that day. I know it can get pretty rough out there in the Bering Sea, especially 40 miles offshore. It just seems like there should be standard procedures in place for incidents like this. Maybe someone with maritime experience could chime in? Just hoping we can gather more insight into what might have happened when John reportedly jumped.
