I've been following Jason's case closely and something that really stands out to me is the untouched condition of his fishing net. If Jason had been planning to leave the area, it seems strange that he would take the time to set up the net just to abandon it. Has anyone considered the possibility that Jason was interrupted? Maybe someone else was at the riverbank, and he got distracted or approached them for some reason. The fact that his boots and backpack were left behind suggests he wasn't planning to go far, so what happened in those last moments? The gear's placement might hold some key details that investigators should look into further. Any thoughts?

Just wanted to chime in with a thought that keeps nagging me about the Jason case. Has anyone considered the impact of the river's current around the time he went missing? I came across some info that the Chilkat River can have some pretty strong undercurrents, depending on the time of year and recent weather conditions. Could it be possible that one of these currents might have caught him off guard? I've been following some discussions about similar cases, and it's surprising how often water conditions can play a huge role. Definitely worth looking into if any environmental data from that day is available. Thoughts?

Has anyone looked into the potential hazards of the Chilkat River around the time Jason went missing? I've read that the river can be quite treacherous with strong currents and sudden drops in water levels. I’m wondering if there were any unusual weather conditions or environmental factors that could have played a role. Also, considering that subsistence fishing often involves solo trips, could it be that he underestimated the river’s risks despite being familiar with the area? Sometimes local knowledge might lead to a false sense of security. Any thoughts from folks familiar with the area?
