It's so frustrating that Native American women continue to show up at overwhelming numbers in missing-person data, and yet so many of their cases receive little attention. These are not just statistics. They are daughters, sisters, mothers, friends, and members of communities that deserve urgency, visibility, and justice.

At the end of 2025, FBI active missing-person records showed 564 native American females listed missing nationwide. Native families and advocates have pointed to underreporting, jurisdictional confusion, and lack of media coverage. Too many cases seem to fade from public view far too quickly. This seems to be one of those cases.

We should be asking why this keeps happening, why so many families are left without answers, and why the public attention is so uneven. Native women matter. Their cases matter. They deserve the same urgency, coverage, and investigative effort as anyone else.

Hey everyone, I came across Janson Secody's case recently, and something that's been on my mind is the clothing she was last seen wearing. The fact that she was wearing multiple layers—like the black jacket over the red one, and of course, that sky-blue beanie—makes me wonder if she seemed prepared for colder weather. New Mexico can be unpredictable in January. I'm curious if anyone has thoughts on whether this might suggest any specific plans she had, or if it was just how she normally dressed. Since there weren't many details released, I'm hoping that maybe focusing on her clothing could jog someone's memory out there. It just seems like such a striking outfit that someone must have noticed. What do you all think?
Just stumbled upon Janson's case again, and something that's always puzzled me is the stark contrast of her choice of clothing. I mean, it's January in New Mexico, right? So she was layered up with two jackets. But then there's the bright red and sky-blue beanie. Those colors would definitely stand out against the surroundings, especially in winter.
Makes me wonder if she just liked vibrant colors or if they could indicate something more about her plans that day. Maybe she wanted to be easily spotted, or perhaps it was just her usual style. Either way, it's such a small detail, but with cases like these, I can't help but feel that every piece of the puzzle might matter. If anyone else has thoughts or more info on her fashion habits, I'd be interested to hear it.
