Hey everyone, I've been thinking about the role that community relationships play in cases like Zavier "Jig" Armstead's. It's evident that the Starkville PD has been actively seeking help from the public to piece together what happened, which got me reflecting on whether local communities are doing enough to support these efforts. From what I’ve read and seen in other cases, sometimes information sharing might be hindered by fear or distrust of law enforcement. I've even heard of some communities working with neighborhood watch programs, which help create a bridge between locals and police. I wonder if Starkville has something like this or if it's something that could be beneficial for them, especially after this tragic loss. Stronger community ties could really make a difference in preventing such incidents or at least in ensuring justice is served when they do occur. Would love to hear any thoughts or insight from locals or others who've observed similar situations. What can communities do to improve this trust and cooperation? Sending strength to Zavier’s family and friends as they navigate through this tough time.
