Hey everyone, I've been following the tragic case of Oceanna Lee Hubbard, and I just can't shake the details of how this all unfolded that night in the parking garage. It's just so shocking that things could escalate to this point. It makes you wonder about the often hidden aspects of domestic relationships and how important it is to recognize the signs of domestic violence, both for ourselves and our loved ones. I keep thinking about the environment at the Riverwalk Casino and how many of Oceanna's coworkers and friends must be feeling—suddenly losing someone you work with every day, right there in your workplace. I can’t imagine the trauma they must be dealing with, having known her and now processing the reality of what happened. Do any of you feel like our systems are doing enough to address domestic violence and support potential victims? It seems like there’s always more that could be done. My heart goes out to everyone who knew Oceanna and especially her family, who had to make such a difficult decision regarding the plea deal. Sending prayers and strength to them all.
