His story shines a light on the risks officers took, and sadly still take today, to protect their communities. This kind of dedication deserves recognition, and it's crucial we remember these historical events so we can appreciate the strides made in law enforcement since then. My thoughts are with the Morris family and all those affected by the tragedy so many years ago.
