Wow, this case is just weighing heavy on my heart today. I'm just thinking about how difficult it must have been for law enforcement back in 1911, especially with limited resources and a lack of immediate communication. Deputy Work was only doing his job when he was taken away from his loved ones in such a tragic way. It must be so comforting for his family that he’s still remembered and honored by his community even so many years later. It’s a stark reminder of the risks all officers bear to protect us. Has anyone found any more info on how the other two suspects were dealt with after their apprehension? I can't seem to find any solid details beyond the one suspect's death. Anyway, just wanted to share my thoughts on this. Thinking of Deputy Work's family and the team he worked with.
