Has anyone looked into the tides and currents in Cook Inlet around the time Peter went missing? I did some quick research and it seems the tides there are notoriously strong and unpredictable. It's not just about high and low tide, but the swift currents can make it extremely dangerous. Could someone familiar with the area offer some insight on how these conditions might have affected the search efforts? It makes me wonder just how far Peter could've been carried away even in a short amount of time. This area seems like it would present unique challenges for anyone trying to locate someone in the water.
Has anyone else been following Peter's case? I keep coming back to how unpredictable the tides in Cook Inlet can be. I read somewhere that the tidal range can be over 30 feet! No wonder they've had such a hard time finding him. The currents there are notorious, and it must have made the search incredibly difficult. It just reminds me of other cases where water and tides played such a huge role in searches. If any locals here have insights into the seasonal changes in tides and how they might affect the search, I think that could be helpful to understand what the rescuers are dealing with. Keeping Peter's family in my thoughts as they navigate this incredibly tough time.
I’ve been following the Peter case, and something struck me about how quickly the tides shift in Cook Inlet. For those familiar with the region, you know how powerful those currents can be. I’m curious if these conditions have affected other search and rescue efforts in the past. It seems like a crucial detail in understanding why the searches haven't turned up more evidence. Does anyone here have experience or knowledge on how tides might complicate recovery efforts in such areas? It’s baffling to think how nature plays such a massive role in these situations.
