It breaks my heart to think about the kind of future Erlin Pereira-Flores could have had. Can you imagine how terrifying his last moments must have been, just trying to go about his evening? From what I’ve read, Erlin was just minding his own business when these teenagers decided to alter their lives—and his—forever. It's scary to think how some young people can be led astray so violently. I’ve been following the case closely, and it’s reassuring to see that the Oklahoma City police worked hard to bring those responsible to justice. Tracking the stolen cellphone was a crucial move that not only helped solve the case but will hopefully deter such dangerous behavior in the future. My thoughts go out to Erlin's family and friends. I hope they find some peace knowing the community stands with them and those responsible are being held accountable.
