I’ve been following the discussions around Temp Burdick’s tragic death and something that really caught my attention was the eyewitness reports. Specifically, it was mentioned that a white pickup truck with a cattle guard left the scene after the shooting. Does anyone know if this detail played a significant role in tracking down David Joseph Scott? It just seems like such a unique identifier. I can't imagine how distressing it must have been for his family to hear those testimonies and realize that Temp was being chased in such a terrifying manner. My thoughts are with them as they process the loss and all these unfolding details. This situation makes me think about the weight that even public witness accounts can carry in piecing together the truth in such tragic situations. If anyone has more insight or information about how this was used during the investigation, I’d appreciate it.
