I've been following the tragic case of Roger Cole, and my heart goes out to his family and friends. Amidst this horrifying ordeal, something that keeps playing on my mind is the role of mental health, especially PTSD, in this entire situation. It's disturbing to think how James McDonald's condition might have contributed to the violent confrontation leading to Roger's tragic death. I can't help but wonder if there were warning signs that could have alerted people earlier. PTSD is such a complex and challenging issue, particularly for our veterans, who deserve all the support in the world. But when left unchecked, it seems it can lead to such unimaginable outcomes. It leaves me wondering about the resources and help available to those suffering silently and what could be done to prevent something so devastating in the future. It’s a small comfort, but I hope that we can learn from this to offer better support for those in similar situations. Sending strength and love to Roger's loved ones during this difficult time.
