I’ve been thinking a lot about the neighbors' statements in the Michael Palmer case. From what I've read, some of them reported hearing a loud argument but didn’t think it was anything out of the ordinary since it wasn't uncommon to hear shouting coming from that house. It's such a sad reminder of how sometimes warning signs are dismissed because they seem “normal” over time. I can only imagine the pain Michael’s family must be going through, knowing that this situation escalated to such a tragic degree. It feels like there was potential for intervention or support before it came to this. How do we, as a community, become more vigilant in these situations? It just leaves me wishing there was a way to rewind and do things differently. My heart goes out to Michael’s family and friends who loved him dearly.
