Has anyone else been following the community response to Marlon Carter's case? It's been both inspiring and a bit overwhelming to see how many people have come together to support his family and speak out against gun violence following his tragic death. There have been several vigils and rallies in the neighborhood near SW 74th and May Avenue, where the shooting occurred. Marlon's friends and classmates have shared stories about what a bright light he was, and it's clear his loss has sent ripples through the entire community. It's a somber reminder of how deeply gun violence affects everyone, not just the immediate family. I hope the awareness and discussions this tragedy has sparked lead to meaningful change. Would love to hear if anyone else in the community has participated in or witnessed any of these events and what your thoughts were. ?

I’ve been thinking a lot about the community response in the aftermath of Marlon Carter's tragic murder. It’s been truly moving to see how people have come together to support Marlon’s family and raise awareness about the issue of gun violence in our neighborhood. Over the past few months, there have been several vigils and community gatherings, and it really shows how much Marlon's life touched so many. I’m wondering if anyone else here attended the vigil near the site where it happened or any of the community meetings about gun violence in Oklahoma City? It felt incredibly powerful to be surrounded by people who are determined to make sure something good comes from this horrendous tragedy, and I think it's essential that we keep these conversations going. Marlon’s story deserves to be remembered, and I hope the community can help bring about some positive change.
