Hey everyone, I was reading through some of the threads about Joshua Adrian Hurd's case, and I couldn't help but think about how much he must've meant to those who knew him. I saw a picture of him online wearing his Las Vegas Raiders gear, and it got me thinking about how those little pieces of a person's life can mean so much after they're gone. As a fellow Raiders fan, I can appreciate the sense of community and belonging sports can bring. It's a common bond that, for some of us, feels like family. Given how much Joshua loved the Raiders and fishing with his cousin CJ, I can only imagine the painful void left in his family and friends' lives. Losing someone to such senseless violence is hard enough, but I hope there’s at least some small comfort in knowing the person responsible is behind bars. I’ve seen some discussions about the impact of gun violence on families, and this case really brings it home. It’s important we keep having these conversations and remember the individuals behind the stories. Let’s keep Joshua and his family in our thoughts. Anyone else here have stories about personal connections to something as simple as a sports team that makes you feel close to someone you’ve lost? Stay safe, everyone.
